Role Description - Female Mental Health Support Worker

Gray Healthcare are recruiting a new team of Support workers within the Mold area to support a lady diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Acquired brain Injury who lives independently in her own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day. The lady we will be supporting has good sense of humour and bubbly, they like to be supported going out in her car and spending time doing Puzzles, listening to music.

Female Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience

Social care experience, within mental health and with experience of supporting individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Brain Injuries Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities. Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging. Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments. You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Hours

1 x 24 Hour Contract - 2 x 12 hour day shifts, 8am to 8pm with alternative weekends

Induction and Training

We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
