I'm a young woman living in the

Motherwell area

, and I'm looking for the right person to join my small team of support workers. I have

Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, and Startle Seizures

, so I need some help with day-to-day things -- but I promise there's never a dull moment!

I'm looking for someone who's

friendly, patient, reliable, and has a good sense of humour

. The role is all about supporting me to live my life to the fullest -- both at home and when I'm out and about.

Day to day, you'd be helping me with things like getting ready in the morning, showering, and using the bathroom. You'd help me take my medication and make some tasty, healthy meals and snacks. I love being out and active, so we might head to pottery, Zumba, the gym, bowling, or the cinema -- or maybe just go get my hair and nails done for a bit of pampering. You'd also give me a hand with moving safely using my power wheelchair and equipment and help out with little errands like shopping or picking up prescriptions. Mostly, it's about being there to support me so I can live as independently as possible and enjoy the things I love doing.

You don't need loads of experience --

training will be provided

-- but you do need to be proactive, caring, and happy to encourage me to try new things.

You'll need a

Full UK Manual Driving Licence

, as I have a manual mobility vehicle that you'd drive.

The Details

Permanent role - 30 hours per month guaranteed

One sleepover per month (24-hour shift, sleeping night)

One weekend afternoon/evening shift per month (around 6 hours)

Sleepover usually: Friday 12pm - Saturday 12pm, or Saturday 12pm - Sunday 12pm

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Extra hours are often available if you'd like more
