Job Description

A kind and friendly 30 year old male requires a female Personal Assistant. He has additional support needs and lives in the Glenmavis area of Airdrie.

This role involves one to one care and assistance within their home, including attending to personal care and support in the community with participation in social activities, events, clubs and days out.

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)

Assisting with medication

Preparing meals and healthy snacks

Walking, going to the gym, shopping, visiting historic sights, churches, he loves animals, horses, music and day trips

Going to watch football

Listening to music, going to concerts, some evening support required

Going to the Theatre

General Housework

Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

As his personal assistant, the family would like you to be forward planning, enthusiastic and upbeat, encouraging him to be involved in activities, while also respecting his need for quiet time at home.

The aim is to help him build confidence, make friends and enjoy a good quality of life.

We are looking for a PA who is kind, warm and friendly and has a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Relevant care experience is required.

Driver with a Full UK Driving Licence and you will be required to use your own vehicle; mileage will be paid.

Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with dogs in the home.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)



Recruiting for 1 position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 20 hours per week

Days and Times:



Monday to Friday: 10:30am - 14:30pm to start, with hours increasing to 10:30am - 16:00pm

Occasional weekends and evenings may be required - to be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate:



13.00 per hour
