We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our exceptional team in Whitby. This role involves supporting a vibrant lady with an acquired brain injury in her own home. She's an outgoing individual with a fantastic sense of humour and a busy social life. From going to the pub to shopping, cinema, and theatre, she loves trying new things and embracing life to the fullest. The Role:





As a Registered Nurse at Brightening Lives, you'll be providing clinical support to ensure the person we support receives the highest quality care. You'll collaborate with a team of Personal Assistants and report to the Clinical Lead Nurse. This role offers variety, as you'll be working across multiple care settings, including the person's own home and in the community. Typical shift patterns include 16-hour shifts with a sleep-in, along with opportunities for additional bank shifts.


Your responsibilities will include:




Providing direct, person-centred nursing care and support to the individual in her home and during outings. Supporting the Clinical Lead Nurse in delivering clinical interventions and ensuring the highest standard of care. Assisting in the administration of medication, including ordering, managing, and recording in line with current legislation and best practices. Ensuring clinical care plans are regularly reviewed and followed. Liaising with healthcare professionals to address the clinical needs of the individual. Promoting independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing through all interactions. Contributing to the safeguarding and protection of the individual. Managing risks effectively, including infection prevention and control, to ensure a safe and healthy living environment. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in accordance with Brightening Lives' policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:




A valid NMC registration (with no restrictions or cautions) and a current PIN. At least 2 years of post-graduation nursing experience (preferably in community or home-based care). A strong clinical skillset, including medication management and use of specialist equipment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with families and other healthcare professionals. A

full UK driving licence

and access to your own vehicle, as driving is required for this role. A compassionate, proactive attitude, with the ability to engage in person-centred care. A good sense of humour, flexibility, and a willingness to support the individual in all aspects of life, including social activities.
