Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to a young lady in a home care environment. The role involves supporting this young lady with daily activities including personal care, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Experience in managing Epilepsy is desirable. The ideal Support Worker will possess strong caregiving skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.

Shift times

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 08:00 - 14:00

Thursday 07:00 - 09:00

Friday 07:00 - 09:00 / 16:30 - 22:00

Occasional additional respite hours with sleep ins - optional

Duties

Assist client with personal care routines such as bathing and dressing Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines Supporting with Accessing the community Manage behaviour effectively Provide companionship and emotional support Monitor health status and report any concerns promptly Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress Support client with activities of daily living in accordance with personalised care plans

Skills

Prior experience in home care is advantageous Knowledge of person centered care, Epilepsy care practices Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards clients Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations Organised with good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
