Support Worker - Days

We're offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with a remarkable individual in Beckenham who has suffered widespread brain damage and a spinal injury. This strong, determined woman uses a wheelchair for mobility and actively participates in hydrotherapy sessions. She's vibrant, loves being part of her community, enjoys regular trips to coffee shops, and takes pleasure in cooking and cleaning.

We're looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join a dedicated team providing life-enhancing support for this resilient woman with a brain injury, helping her live a fulfilling and independent life. If you're passionate about making a difference, this role is for you!

*About the Role:

You will be working in a home environment, supporting a vibrant and determined woman who is partially wheelchair dependent. The role involves helping with daily tasks, offering encouragement, and providing assistance with cooking, baking, personal care, hydrotherapy, and daily living activities.

Key responsibilities include

Assisting with mobility and handling Aid with light household chores, which may include cooking, cleaning Providing reminders and motivation throughout the day. Supporting her in engaging with hobbies like gardening, arts & crafts, and cooking. Encouraging participation in social activities Respecting her autonomy in decision-making while providing support when needed Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided. Maintaining her daily routine and helping with makeup and outfit choices

Requirements

Full UK Driver's License Experience in healthcare or support roles working with individuals with brain injuries Experience in personal care, mobility support Ability to provide emotional and physical support Comfortable working in a family-oriented environment Compassionate and empathetic approach to care Ability to follow care plans and provide personalised support Strong communication skills

Shift Pattern:

12-hour shifts (9 AM -9 PM)
Monday to Sunday
