We are seeking a support worker to work with a lady in her 30s who has Cerebral Palsy, living in the Bristol area. We are ideally looking for 2 candidates who could work 15 hours across 3 days, however would consider taking on a casual worker to work on an ad-hoc basis if they are unable to fulfil the required regular shifts or 2 candidates to split the hours 30 across the week.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who will be motivated to support our client with new opportunities out in the community. An animal lover would be a great fit as our client volunteers with the Zoo Project each week on a Thursday and the role would involve supporting with this, as well as other social activities. Our client engages with therapy services to help support her mobility and independence and it would be important for the support worker to feel comfortable in engaging in Physio and OT sessions, some which may involve accessing a hydrotherapy pool.
Our client will have the opportunity to go on day trips or weekend breaks where her weekly hours could be used flexibly to support her with this, with occasional overnight stays, this can be discussed further as required.
The role also involves some domestic support whilst maintaining our client's independence at home, with domestic tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning and helping her to look after her two dogs.
