About the Client & Your Responsibilities
Our client is a gentleman in his 70s, a lifelong Cambridge resident who enjoys discussing news, politics, history, and his travels. Following a road traffic accident, he sustained a traumatic brain injury and orthopaedic impairment, impacting his mobility and requiring an attendant-propelled wheelchair when fatigued and outdoors.
Support is needed to assist him with community activities such as going out for lunch, domestic tasks, working under the guidance of medical personnel to assist with prescribed rehabilitation programs, including dressing management. He has dysarthria, so patience and strong communication skills in English are essential. Driving his adapted vehicle is required and due to limited transport options in his village location you should be able to commute easily.
