About our service.

We are currently looking to recruit 3 x Female support workers - 20 Hours a week (Shifts to be discussed further at interview), This young lady requires support to attend day centre 5 days per week so the shift pattern will be from approx. 8 am until 4pm Monday to Friday and on a Saturday the same times but with some flexibility - on a Saturday it is expected that the team will partake in activities such as visiting local markets, shopping, going to the pub, visiting the zoo and other fun and meaningful activities.

We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering person centred care and support to a young lady who has complex physical needs and learning disabilities who lives at home in Bury with her parents, it is a must that you are a driver as this person has her own vehicle that the staff are expected to use daily.

We would say she is a very determined person who has a real zest for life and who knows how to enjoy every day. She is an avid fan of Disney, she has 2 pet cats and loves arts and crafts.

We are looking for people that will become part of a strong and resilient team of support workers that this young lady and her family can rely on and build a lasting and trusting relationship that will enable her to do great things.

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
  • Supporting people to live independently - budget management, paying bills, house work, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship building - supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
