About the Role
We are looking for a calm, compassionate, and reliable Female Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a young woman living in supported accommodation in Greenfield.
The person we support is autistic and thrives on structure, routine, and clear communication. She enjoys quiet activities such as going to the cinema to watch horror films, walks in nature, spending time at home gaming and building Lego. Your role will be to help her maintain a predictable routine, access the community safely, and feel comfortable and supported in her daily life.
This is a rewarding position for someone who is patient, understanding, and confident supporting adults with autism, sensory needs, and mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Support to follow her structured daily and weekly routine (cinema, walks, and quiet activities).
Provide gentle prompts for meals, medication, and personal routines while respecting her independence.
Ensure her environment is calm, organised, and safe, following agreed routines for household tasks.
Support to access the community safely -- maintaining awareness of sensory triggers such as crowds and noise.
Communicate clearly and calmly, using short, straightforward sentences and allowing her time to process information.
Build a positive working relationship based on trust, respect, and consistency.
Keep accurate daily notes and communicate effectively with the wider support team.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Naturally calm, patient, and reliable, with a quiet and reassuring presence.
Able to follow structure and routines carefully.
Proactive but not overbearing -- understands when to give space and when to offer support.
A good communicator with clear, simple, and respectful communication style.
Observant and safety-conscious, especially when supporting outdoors or in public.
Essential Requirements
Experience supporting adults with autism, sensory needs, or mental health conditions.
Ability to follow detailed support plans and maintain consistency.
Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
Basic IT and record-keeping skills.
Desirable
Full UK driving licence (for community access and long drives) and willingness to drive an automatic vehicle.
Training in First Aid, Medication Administration, or Autism Awareness.
Experience in supported living or 1:1 care.
What We Offer
Comprehensive training and ongoing development.
Supportive team culture focused on person-centred care.
Regular supervision and team meetings.
Opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone's quality of life.
How to Apply
If you are calm, compassionate, and committed to helping others live fulfilling, independent lives -- we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and be part of a team that helps the person we support thrive in a structured, supportive, and caring environment.
