14.93 per hour week shift, - 15.96 per hour weekends & 15.96 night shift & holiday pay

Steddy Ltd are looking for an energetic support worker to work with our individual who has a brain injury, epilepsy, and other complex needs including Peg feeding and oral suction.

About The Role

We are a Care Company that provides Case Management support to individual clients who have sustained life changing injuries. We are looking for a support worker to work alongside existing team to support a gentleman in his 30s who has suffered a severe brain injury. He lives with his parents in his own home and he is completely dependent upon others for all his activities of daily living. He has a Case Manager, Occupational Therapist and Private Physiotherapist who have been working with him for several years to help provide additional therapy.

Our client has his own fully adapted vehicle for use to transport him to all activities and full training will be provided with regard to driving/securing his wheelchair during transit.

Hours

Minimum of 18 hours hours per week, including working weekends

Skills & Attributes:

Previous experience of working with clients with a brain injury and complex needs is essential

Experience of Epilepsy

Demonstrate awareness of risk

Caring & Compassionate

Excellent communication skills with team Able to work unsupervised and use own initiative Prepared to be Flexible with days Able to work alongside another support worker colleague as a pair Experience of working with clients with PEG systems preferred but is not essential as training can be provided
Duties:

Personal Care Oral suction Peg feeding Support with hydrotherapy Participate in activities, in and out of house Liaise with Health professionals and Physio Provide feedback information to Case Manager

Job Requirements:

A clean driving license is essential. A Vehicle is provided for all trips from clients home address but own vehicle/transport required to travel to and from address
