Blue Sky Enabling have an exciting job opportunity for an experienced support worker to join a team.
You will be supporting one female service user living in her own home with her family in Melksham. You will be working in a person-centred way with our service user who has learning disabilities, autism and type 2 diabetes. Shift hours are 9:30am-3pm, and 7:30pm-8:30pmpm (1hour paid, but 1/2hour worked to administer medication) Monday-Sunday
As part of our collaborative teams, you will be supporting each service user to live a life of their own choosing. This will include supporting them as required to engage with and manage their personal care and presentation, and safe administration of medication. You will support the service user to participate in indoor leisure activities of their choosing, and encourage her to go out with her family for support during the day. You will encourage and support them to maintain a healthy diet and will promote their health and wellbeing. You will encourage them to live a full and active life, and it is important that you respect issues around capacity and enable them to make their own decisions.
You will be supported to maintain training relevant to this role.
