Community based role in Wellingborough and surrounding area

Working pattern varies primarily between the hours of 8:00 am till 10:00pm - 37.5 hours a week

12.21 an hour + Sleep in allowance available


What does a typical day look like at P4A?

Well, the truth is, there isn't one. Each one of our service users are different and their independence goals are personalised to them. Adaptability is at the core of who we are as a service, respecting that each client is an individual is the key to success! Now, there may be some reoccurring themes around developing independence such as:

Attending appointments, weekly shopping etc. Emotional and mental wellbeing support. Administering and assisting with medication. Support with budgeting and understanding finances. Preparing and/or supporting with meal preparation. Health and fitness activities such as swimming, gym, trampoline parks etc. Building social skills through leisure activities like bowling, pool, meals out. Promoting independent travel with support on public transport services.
The options are almost endless and we are looking for individuals with a drive to make a difference and seek new opportunities for our service users to make the most out of their support and strive to reach their individual goals.

This role has a few specific requirements to meet the support needs of the clients,

- Female support worker

- Access to own car, and able to support individuals within the community

- Pet friendly and able to work around household pets such as cat and dogs

Our training programs incorporate full support using a mixture in-person and online training with options to explore further with NVQ's in health and social care at various levels.

All of our team will need to go through a number of pre employment checks including comprehensive work history reference checks, criminal records and barring lists via a DBS certificate and essential rights to works checks. Please note we do not offer sponsorship nor transfer of sponsor.

We strive to strike the right balance between the needs of the service and those delivering it, with your availability and commitments considered. Our support team roles typically have shift patterns between 8:00 to 22:00, working 5 days a week, with alternative weekends.You will also have opportunity to pick up additional hours and sleep in which can further boost your income.
