Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:

This an exciting opportunity for a caring, compassionate and talented Support Worker in

Southport

to support 4 ladies with learning disabilities and mental health challenges to live independently in their own homes. This is a great chance to make a real difference to the lives of others and develop yourself both professionally and personally.

The people supported here enjoy going out for meals, going to the cinema and theatre, listening to music, cooking and socialising with family and friends. They are quite independent and like to get out and about into the local community and enjoy what it has on offer.

The ladies would describe themselves as energetic, confident, kind, caring and friendly. They would love their support staff to be able to have a laugh with them and have good banter, but also need individuals who ensure they have choice and autonomy to help them get the most out of their lives.

We are currently recruiting for a

20-hour post

with a set shift pattern

working every Monday and Wednesday (4pm - 10pm) and every Saturday (10am - 6pm)

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010
