We are looking for female staff who can build trust, develop lives, empower people and inspire passion.

Blue Sky Enabling have an exciting job opportunity for experienced female support worker across 3 of our services supporting 3 individuals each living in their own home. One lady lives in Westbury; she has MND that restricts her movement, although she is able to communicate well verbal. She requires assistance with manual handling, all personal care, fuids and nutrition, medication, ventilation and cough assist, all of which can be managed well without incident following appropriate strategies. Another young lady lives in Calne, she has ASD, LD and some mental health issues and can self harm when distressed or feeling low. When well she loves to go out into the community. The other young lady lives in Rowde, she has ASD and is registered blind. She is very involved in community activities and is our most days.

Shift patterns will be based on a rota covering that we usually set for 4-6weeks at a time. Shifts will include day shifts in Westbury from 8am-9pm, 24hour shifts including sleepin in both Calne and Rowde. The rate for working in Westbury is 13.80ph because of the complexity, and the day rate for the 24hr shifts based on 15hours plus 9hour sleep-in is 238.15per 24hours.

As part of our collaborative approach, you will be working under guidance of our care managers, to support each person to live a life of their own choosing. This will include supporting with personal care and presentation, food preparation, light domestic tasks and community access. You will enable them to engage in home-based activities, and encourage and support them to engage in appropriate community activities, shopping, go out to cafes, day trips, having fun enjoying in indoor and outdoor leisure activities of their own choosing. Working alongside them, you will encourage and support them to maintain a healthy diet and will promote health and wellbeing. You will focus on supporting them to live a full life, respecting issues around capacity to make their own decisions and respecting their entitlement to equality and dignity.

Due to the service users' diagnosis, English is essential and priority will be given to applicants for whom English is their first language. We do not offer sponsorship. Priority will also be given to applicants who drive and who have a current DBS on the online update service

You will be supported to undertake and maintain specialist training relevant to this role.

Further information about our service user will be provided to the successful applicant at company induction.
