Join us at MacIntyre as a Female Waking Night Support Worker and be a key part of changing lives with kindness, support, and commitment.
Our friendly team in Aylesbury are looking for a Female Waking Night Support Worker who can work Monday nights. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be a calm and reassuring presence for Six women in their 40's who have learning disabilities and/or autism.
You will be helping them to feel safe and supported throughout the night in their own home. You will check in regularly to make sure Holly* is settled and comfortable, and be there if she wakes up and needs a hand - whether that's using the bathroom, having a warm drink, or just a reassuring chat. You may also be supporting Sarah* (who prefers to be awake during the night) to have a relaxing night watching a musical or having a footbath. When it's quieter, you will help get the house ready for the morning, as you will know what a difference a clean and tidy home can make.
You will build close relationships and create a safe and trusting environment helping with tasks like taking medication, having a shower, and brushing teeth in the morning, as well as empowering the people you will be supporting to make their own choices and be in control of their own lives.
We are hoping that you know what is happening locally or know where to look for new experiences and opportunities, encouraging connectedness and purpose where they live.
You will work a Monday night, 10pm-7am. There may also be opportunities for overtime to cover sickness and annual leave.
A full UK Manual or Automatic driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role.
"Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding."
