With stores in Longborough (HQ), Thame, and Alton--and a 12-acre timber yard--we offer over 20,000 products, from nuts and bolts to fencing and large animal handling systems. ROLE SUMMARY



We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Fencing Sales Advisor to join our team as we prepare to launch our new store in Much Cowarne, near Hereford. As our Fencing Sales Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our extensive range of fencing solutions tailored for the agricultural sector. You will be the primary point of contact for farmers and agricultural businesses, helping them select the right fencing products to meet their specific needs.

The successful candidate will start with us on or before October 1st 2025.

Hours of work: 07:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES



Engage with customers to understand their fencing needs and provide tailored solutions. Present product offerings and demonstrate the benefits of different fencing types, including barbed wire, electric fencing, metal and timber products. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Maintain a deep understanding of fencing products, installation practices, animal handling systems and industry trends. Stay updated on new products, technologies, and competitor offerings to provide the best advice to customers. Prepare detailed sales quotes and proposals based on customer specifications. Ensure timely processing of orders and follow up on shipment and delivery schedules. Conduct on-site visits to assess customer properties and provide expert recommendations for fencing solutions and animal handling setups (if and when required). Collaborate with customers to determine the most effective fencing layout and installation methods. Participate in agricultural trade shows, farm events, and community outreach to showcase products. Provide training and support to customers and other staff members on proper installation and maintenance of fencing solutions. Assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to fencing products.

KEY COMPETENCIES



Proven sales experience, preferably in agricultural products or related industries. Strong understanding of agricultural operations and fencing systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel for customer visits and trade shows as needed.
