Fibre Engineer / Cable Puller - Contract Position
Location: East of England / Scotland
Overview:
We are seeking experienced Fibre Engineers or Cable Pullers for work on large-scale energy infrastructure projects. The role involves pulling, routing, and securing fibre optic cables in demanding industrial environments. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
Essential Requirements:
CSCS card (valid and in date)
Proven experience in fibre cable pulling (internal/external)
Strong awareness of site health and safety
Ability to follow site plans and supervisor instructions
Physically fit and comfortable working in industrial environments
Desirable:
Previous experience on large infrastructure or utility sites
Manual handling / asbestos awareness / confined spaces (advantageous)
Own transport
Responsibilities:
Pulling and installing fibre optic cables through ducts, trays, and containment
Assisting with fibre routes, testing prep, and basic terminations
Adhering to strict site safety procedures and reporting to site supervisor
Keeping accurate records of works completed
