Fibre Installs Engineer

31,000 - 36,000

40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm, on a rota (1 - 6 Saturdays)

North East Scotland - from Fife, up to Aberdeen and plenty of rural locations in between.

THE TEAM

Our Installation and Splicing Team is growing in line with our achievements and ambitions and will play a pivotal role in our success story. The Team is at the forefront of our customer journey, ensuing our customers are connected in a timely, efficient and professional manner.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

Delivering an excellent Fibre to the home (FTTH) experience to our customers Self-certifying your own work before signing off as complete Installation & servicing of our fibre network infrastructure equipment, including working overhead and underground PIA networks Signal testing using testers provided on our internal and external equipment Ensuring Health & Safety is a priority when working onsite, for you and our customers Onsite surveys for new customers and locations and preparing a detailed survey report Identifying, and recommending ways to improve the network and our procedures Building relationships across GoFibre and collaborating with different teams to meet installation deadlines

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

UK Manual driving license with no more than 6 points SA001 PIA certification SA002 PIA certification S7 / S8 PIA certification NRSWA accreditation Good written and numerical skills Knowledge of overhead and underground fibre network installation and maintenance Working at Height including ladder, pole and tower climbing Fibre Splicing Fault finding & rectification Experience in telecommunications business Experience working from an exchange OTDR and other Fibre Testing methodologies Knowledge of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA)
