Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Carry out

electrical maintenance

, both planned and reactive, across commercial and public sector sites. Conduct

inspection and testing

duties in line with current industry regulations and complete associated documentation. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and issues on-site to minimise disruption and downtime. Support project teams during

installation

, commissioning, and refurbishment works. Keep thorough records of maintenance, compliance checks, and completed tasks. Adhere to

health and safety legislation

and ensure all work meets relevant electrical standards. Travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays, depending on project requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) 2391 (Inspection and Testing) Proven experience in a similar role (commercial, infrastructure, or facilities) Full UK driving licence Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Comfortable with working overtime and flexible travel Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable (Not Essential)

IPAF or other access equipment certifications Familiarity with mobile or multi-site engineering environments Experience working in secure, critical, or sensitive facilities
