About the role



We are currently looking for a Field Maintenance Technician to join our established engineering team based out of our Heathrow workshop. The successful candidate will work across various locations; works will mainly be mechanical but there will be elements of hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical aspects to consider.

Day to day tasks will consist of delivering planned maintenance to aircraft ground support equipment and tooling - with a mixture of onsite maintenance and workshop activities.

Key Responsibilities:



Delivering planned maintenance activities to various types of aircraft equipment and tooling (eg. steps, platforms, trailers, trolleys, tow bars, jacks) Carrying out repairs to equipment in accordance with a planned maintenance schedule Effectively fault find and problem solve a variety of issues on hydraulic equipment occasionally including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems. Equipment types include jacks and lifting equipment, fluid dispensers, hydraulic rigs and servicing carts amongst a wide variety of others Collection and delivery of customer equipment to and from various sites across our network Working as part of a wider engineering team Surveying equipment to identify faults and generating reports via our online system Supporting work activities at other airports or UK sites as required Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure jobs are accepted, understood, implemented and closed down efficiently and accurately

Essential skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering excellent customer service Holding a formal engineering or similar qualification would be advantageous Demonstrable experience in a similar role is advantageous Excellent customer service skills Ability to work alone and as part of a team Excellent planning and organisational ability with an analytical approach to problem solving Experienced with IT, demonstrating ability in MS Office - including Email, Outlook, Word and Excel Good at communicating with people at all levels Must have right to work in the UK Full, clean UK driving license is required Must be able to gain an airport pass - therefore clean personal record and ability to show previous work/educational history up to 5 years prior with references
