Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in one of our most critical roles within Waste Networks as a front-line Field Operations Manager.



Your main accountability is to manage and support your team.



You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the networks to ensure delivery of regulatory compliance within strict budgets and lead and develop a team of 5 Network Engineers.



Based in Mogden, however, travel to other sites will be required.

36 hours per week - Monday-Friday.

What will you be doing as a Field Operations Manager

Performance managing a field operations team to deliver operational asset maintenance, customer service targets and supporting efficient completion of projects. Monitor and drive performance against key metrics to make sure all work is responded to promptly. Direct and develop technicians by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one to one-on-ones, completing the PDR process and creating individual development training plans. Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team. Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team. Take team responsibility for safe working practices which comply with company procedures. Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.

What should you bring to the role?

The ideal candidate will have experience in directing, developing and performance-managing field-based operatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, and you must have an exceptional standard of organisation and be health, safety, and wellbeing aware. You will be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software. Formal influence and management qualifications are desirable. (but not essential) Knowledge and understanding of the waste water network are desirable. (although not essential) as well as the ability to converse with managers and stakeholders. Due to the nature of the role, a FULL UK Driving licence is essential.
