- Field Projects Technician (Build)

Overview

The Field Projects Technician (Build) is responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mobile cellular systems, including in-building Picocell and other radio-related projects. The role involves hands-on installation of cabling, active and passive equipment, and RF components, while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with project designs.

Key Responsibilities

Install and test cabling, RF components, active and passive equipment for cellular systems. Follow technical designs and build documentation to ensure accurate system implementation. Assist in the commissioning and handover of completed systems, including documentation packs. Conduct site surveys, prepare technical reports, and support project documentation. Adhere to health and safety procedures and ensure compliance on-site at all times. Work collaboratively as part of a project team to deliver high-quality installations. Support maintenance activities on existing customer systems when required. Be flexible to travel and work away from home as projects demand.

Skills & Experience

Understanding of health and safety requirements for on-site installation work. Experience in cable installation, termination, and testing (RF, fibre, or structured cabling). Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build documentation. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to travel and stay away as required by project schedules. Previous experience in telecoms or cellular system installation (preferred but not essential).

Pay: 24,420.00-28,000.00 per year
