To build a reliable pipeline of new B2B customers such as restaurants, cafes, hotel, caterers and independents for a small fresh produce led wholesaler in the South-West.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving sales growth across designated territories.

The position involves engaging with clients face-to-face, understanding what people want and meeting targets.
Responsibilities
Create and manage a sales pipeline by identifying target customers, building a prospect list, and progressing leads from initial contact through quote, trial, and conversion into regular customers. Confidently generate new leads through first contact prospecting and walk-ins, identify decision-makers and overcome gatekeepers. Build strong, trust-based relationships by understanding customer needs, selling on service, consistency and reliability rather than just price, and following up consistently. Plan and manage time and territory effectively by prioritising high-value prospects and organising routes and calls efficiently.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies. Expected results will be discussed prior to start date.
Requirements
Proven experience in B2B sales or field sales roles, demonstrating successful negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional attitude at all times.
