Job Description

Instinctive are a long-established full-service provider of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, specialising in ophthalmology and aesthetics. Due to expansion, we seek a service engineer to support our customers, working mainly in London and the South East. We are a small team and take pride in delivering the highest levels of support to our customers. Whilst experience of lasers or optics is not necessary, the ideal candidate will be qualified to HNC/HND level in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and have gained a minimum of 3 years field service experience in a medical, or possibly laboratory environments, working with high capital value equipment. He/she will now be looking to take the next step towards a field engineering position, in an exciting and developing area of healthcare. The position is primarily home based. From time-to-time, travel to various parts of the UK and Ireland and our Bedford office, will be required. Training will be undertaken at our offices and at manufacturers' facilities. The initial workload will be based around preventive maintenance and emergency callout provision. This will build over time to lead engineer status on certain products and may expand to include user training and application support, should the candidate have the inclination and aptitude. Applicants should:

Have achieved HNC/HND level in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to electronic fault-finding to component level, in analogue, digital and HV circuitry

Show excellent inter-personnel skills

Hold a full, clean driving license

Have good communication skills

Be customer service oriented

Pay: 25,000.00-40,000.00 per year
