JOB TITLE:

Field Service Engineer in the Greater London, UK area

*Must be able to travel in the UK, EU and US as needed

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:



Support customers by performing regular maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of laboratory instruments, which include pharmaceutical laboratories, research institutions, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and others. Develop new skills during our in-house, hands-on training program, which will prepare you to service customer equipment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on laboratory instruments as well as the refurbishment of instruments. Promote the customer's long-term interests by extending the life of their instruments. Effectively communicate with customers and account team members to troubleshoot, diagnose, provide repair updates, train end-users, and ensure full resolution of all customer needs. Establish fluency in relevant service documentation, including but not limited to preventative maintenance service reports, IQ/OQ documentation, and other service documentation. Create and properly maintain customer service logs and documentation. Accurately record service reports, time entries and the use of repair parts Follow Company and customer on-site procedures, including customer GxP protocols, safety requirements, company dress code requirements, and SOP's Follows and promotes company policies and procedures Contributes to SOP formulations as needed Represent and promote ATG in a positive, professional manner. Serve as a member of the customer account team by contributing your technical expertise to resolve customer questions, troubleshoot customer issues, and identify additional opportunities to serve our customers. Attend service training as required. Attend all department meetings as requested

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

:

Required to stand, walk, sit, drive long distances (up to 500 miles); talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 75 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:



Work is performed both from home and at customer sites in a lab environment requiring personal protective equipment based on customer guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a major illustrating mathematical and/or engineering aptitude, OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 or more years of experience servicing biomedical/electronic/mechanical equipment, OR Equivalent military education/experience, OR Participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program You must be willing and able to travel to customer locations to perform field service, including overnight travel Solid critical thinking skills and attention to detail Chromatography experience preferred

Credentials and Clearances:



Completion and favorable results of Background Investigation and Motor Vehicle Record Check.

Pay: 35,000.00-50,000.00 per year
