It is an exciting period of growth for the company as a new wheelchair service for Tower Hamlets will be established from 1st July 2025 to provide NHS wheelchair services including clinical assessments, specialist seating, delivery, repairs and maintenance. This role would be based from our Barking Service Centre - IG11 0DR.



What we are looking for:




We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join our logistics team in the maintenance of wheelchairs for our NHS wheelchair users within the surrounding areas whilst ensuring great customer experience is maintained throughout. The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance/mechanical professional who will demonstrate an empathic and resilient manner when faced with challenging situations. They will showcase willingness to always go the extra-mile for all of our patients.


Key Responsibilities:




Be responsible for the delivery, collection, installation and repairing of wheelchairs in patients homes and other various locations across the local region. Understanding and demonstrating the correct functionality and safe installation of items, repair and replace any damaged or faulty stock items. Appropriate and accurate processing of all paperwork. Ensuring vehicle maintenance, including safety checks. Follow correct PPE regulations and compliance with infection control processes. Participating in the on-call rota (with an enhanced allowance during this period).
