The Company

An independent family run business who have been established for 18 years and have grown year on year since 2007 to become market leaders in our sector of installation & service of automated chemical dosing systems. Our service company has built such a great reputation by providing a first class, professional, prompt and reliable service nationally to some of the largest companies within the UK.

The Role

The role is generally independent but is supported by our technical manager and an allocation team to schedule daily calls. Upon joining the company you will spend time training on specialist equipment with fellow engineers.

Once complete you will be responsible for the installation of dosing pumps onto commercial laundry washing machines and commercial dishwashers as well as reactive breakdown calls and planned preventative service visits.

Our service division is a customer-facing function in a very demanding industry, dealing with some of the leading restaurants in the UK as well as a variety of care & nursing homes, hotels, educational establishments, hospitals, government buildings, and offices.

Main accountabilities

Responsible for maintaining, servicing and the repair of chemical dosing pumps installed onto commercial laundry machines & commercial dishwashers. Our goal is to provide quality service that improves customer service & satisfaction.

Day to day activities

Manage all on-site installation, diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance

Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine appropriate solutions

Produce timely and detailed service reports

Document processes and follow company standard procedures and protocols

Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organisation

Evaluate customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations

Taking ownership and responsibility for the delivery of the agreed goals and targets:

Skill & experience required:

As technicians will be working with single and 3 phase equipment - an electrical qualification is essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment

Excellent organisation and computer skills

Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

Proven field service experience

Direct experience in the laundry/ warewash industry is highly desirable

Hold a valid full UK drivers' licence

Progression opportunities as the business continues to grow will present themselves. Ongoing training will also be a part of your role as products are developed/introduced.
