We are looking for a field service engineer to enable this family owned business to grow, due to the exceptionally high standards of the current engineers offer the client is having to turndown work. Working in the sheet metal industry, servicing, repairs and carrying out preventative maintenance we are looking for inquisitive engineers with a passion for problem solving and delivering excellent customer service.
The role is field based but ideally you will be within an hours travel of our offices in Westbury, Wiltshire.

The role as a service maintenance engineer:

• Travelling extensively in England and Wales servicing and repairing a variety of metal working machines, carrying out Machine overhaul and preventative maintenance work.
• Assist in the refurbishment of machines in the factory when not working offsite
• Problem-solving and fault finding on a variety of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic machines from old mechanical to modern CNC and PLC controlled machines such as pressbrakes, guillotines, presses, drills and saws.
• Carry out periodic service checks on customers\' equipment.
• Observe and comply with Health & Safety and security requirements at all times.

Qualifications & skilled required in this field service engineers role.

• Apprentice trained maintenance engineer Level 3 qualification as a minimum. Must have electrical qualifications.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic drawings, and competent at fault finding
• Have knowledge of COSHH regulations in line with hazardous substances
• Excellent communication & customer service skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines & under pressure
• Full UK driver\'s license
• strong understanding and competent at fault finding both electrically & Mechanically
• Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery is essential.

The package on offer for this field service engineers role:

• Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday 40 hour week, days only.
• Paid door to door, any hotels or accommodation is expensed.
• Paid over time at 1.5x
• Basic salary \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa350,000 depending on experience.
• Van, tools & fuel card.
• 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Nest pension.
