We are looking for a Field Service Engineer ideally with LOLER and PUWER experience to work within Care Homes, Schools, Hospices, Hospitals and Assisted Living Properties. The role will involve installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of care equipment from Pressure Relieving Mattresses, Electric Profiling Beds, Mobile and Fixed Hoists, Assisted Baths, Macerators, Scales, Specialist Chairs, and other related items.
The job role will be predominantly field based, will involve travelling around the UK and very occasionally working away from home. A clean driving licence will be essential. An Enhanced DBS check will also be required (this can be arranged during the training period).
Applicants must be 100% customer focused, hardworking, polite, and a good problem solver. A company van, mobile phone, tablet, staff uniform, level 1 Paycare health scheme, company pension and PPE will be provided. Full training will be given, and additional off-site training courses will be provided.
The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties
Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of equipment.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs, installations, and customer interactions.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product developments to enhance service capabilities.
Qualifications
Ideally a minimum of 1 years experience of field service work.
A qualification in engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Technician or Field Service Engineer or in a similar role within the engineering sector.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Plumbing experience/knowledge would also be advantageous.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in various environments.
Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week). O/T will be available when training period has been completed.
Participate in the On-Call Rota (Evenings and Weekends). A fixed standby rate to be paid and overtime for any call-outs.
