Job Summary

Metroweigh are recruiting a skilled and reliable Inspection Field Service Engineer to join our dedicated service team in the covering London / South area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, and maintenance of our equipment and systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Monday - Friday

role, an excellent opportunity for candidates not wanting shift work but with overtime available. Ideally you will live in the North East London, Essex, or Hertfordshire area, to allow a manageable commute to the workshop.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conduct installation, maintenance and repair of in-line inspection machines at customer sites Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance such as calibrations and health check surveys to Metroweigh systems. Troubleshoot/diagnose faults (electrical or mechanical) and provide effective solutions in a timely manner Maintain accurate and detailed reports of service activities on repairs and installations Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions Provide leading expertise and customer service

Experience or qualifications required:

A mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent work experience.

A valid UK driver's licence is essential for this role.

Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Repairs Technician - servicing, fault finding, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing in a similar industry.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.

A team player who understands the importance of team performance.

A keen eye for detail.

Servicing/repairing food manufacturing equipment in a production line is desirable.

Proven experience of working with Inspection equipment is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-42,000.00 per year
