The Role
We are currently seeking a
Field Service Engineer
to join our growing team. This is a
customer-facing role
supporting and maintaining particle characterisation instruments across
the entire UK
.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair particle characterisation systems and related instruments ensuring Preventative Maintenance Inspections and modifications are completed within the specified time frames.
Providing proactive and responsive technical telephone and email support, ensuring that our customers are successful using their instrumentation.
Travel to customer sites across the UK, with
5-6 overnight hotel stays per month
- (An average week would consist of 3 PM visits and 1 repair)
Maintain accurate service records and car inventory, update our CRM system, and follow internal reporting procedures.
Represent Meritics Ltd with professionalism and technical competence.
Assistance at Conferences and Exhibitions may be required
Ideal Candidate Profile
We're looking for someone who is technically strong, self-motivated, organised, and personable.
Required qualifications and experience:
A minimum HNC
(or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject
Degree
in a science or engineering discipline (desirable)
Hands-on experience with
scientific or laboratory instrumentation
(desirable)
Must have excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills.
Able to work with all types of people, from Professors to Directors and Support staff and Colleagues
Must be comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule.
Must have a Full UK driving licence with acceptable driving record and ability to travel overseas if required
Previous Particle Characterisation experience (desirable)
