We have a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer based from our Northampton workshop, and covering Midlands-based clients.

Reporting to the UK Operations Manager you will work as part of the wider team responsible for the maintenance and repairs on Biogas Engines from 120kw to 3Mw. You will visit clients' sites working on all types of gas engines, predominantly Jenbacher, MWM and MAN, undertaking routine servicing and rectification works of equipment (PPM), attending breakdowns to investigate mechanical and electrical failures, carry out extensive fault diagnosis of associated equipment and plant machinery and carry out comprehensive checks of engines.

You will be expected to be in control of maintenance, service and repairs to the CHP engines with efficiency, time management and good personal organisation being key to minimise downtime.

The role requires you to work as part of a team and also be able to work off your own initiative. Included within the role you will be expected to partake in a call rota covering customer engines and associated plant in your area for out-of-hours breakdowns.

Mechanically, you will be experienced in fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs and diagnosing mechanical failures. Electrical experience would also be a significant advantage; specifically experience with 24v dc control systems and fault diagnosis up to 415v systems.

Up to 44,000 basic salary plus overtime depending on experience.
