Overview

We are seeking a reliable and adaptable

Out of Hours Field Service Engineer

to provide support across London stores during

evening and night shifts

. This role ensures our retail technology systems remain operational outside normal business hours, responding to urgent service calls and carrying out planned maintenance when stores are quieter.

You will work primarily

evenings and nights

, including weekends on a rota basis, with travel between customer sites in and around London.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to urgent out-of-hours service calls in London stores Perform diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs, aiming for a

first-time fix

wherever possible Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance during night hours Complete all service and job documentation accurately and promptly Maintain clear communication with the out-of-hours support team Represent the company professionally, even in high-pressure situations Follow all company and customer Health & Safety requirements Keep work areas clean, use PPE correctly, and ensure tools are well-maintained Manage company van, tools, and stock responsibly

About You

Essential:

Full, valid UK driving licence Proven experience in field-based engineering or technical service role Comfortable using hand and power tools Confident working with 230V electrical systems Electro-mechanical fault-finding skills Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively Willing to work evenings, nights, and weekends on a rota basis

Desirable:

Experience with retail technology or loss prevention equipment
