We are recruiting for a leading forklift engineering company specialising in the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of high-quality forklifts and material handling equipment. We\'re seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Raunds area. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of forklifts and material handling equipment in the field with provided company van.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, utilising your expertise to efficiently troubleshoot and repair.
  • Conduct routine inspections, identify potential problems, and implement solutions to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies that enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Complete documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on equipment maintenance.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior technicians, contributing to their skill development and growth.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, preferably in the forklift or heavy equipment industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electric systems.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to maintenance challenges.
  • Safety-focused mindset with a commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
