Job Description

TekAlloy are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer with strong Mechanical experience to join a busy and growing engineering team.

Our client operates across a range of industrial sites and needs a hands-on engineer who can thrive in a reactive, fast-paced environment. This is a varied role that combines site-based work with some workshop responsibilities, offering plenty of overtime opportunities alongside a strong hourly rate.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and confident in fault-finding and problem solving, with the ability to communicate clearly with both colleagues and customers on site.

This role would suit a mechanically qualified engineer with experience in rotating equipment, pumps, motors, and fluid systems, ideally with exposure to wastewater environments.

Duties

Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair work across industrial and manufacturing sites Diagnose and correct faults with rotating equipment Work on fluid systems and associated machinery Disconnect and reconnect single and three-phase industrial motors and controls (advantageous) Perform laser alignment and condition monitoring Interpret and work from engineering drawings Complete detailed job reports after site work is carried out Support the team with workshop-based tasks when required

Proven mechanical engineering experience Background in industrial environments Open to Region based travel Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, and motors Strong communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites A willingness to work as part of a team to deliver solutions
