An opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer, to join our enthusiastic and close-knit team. You will be installing, maintaining and servicing axle weighing equipment nationwide. This new role will build on existing mechanical and/or electrical skills, with full on-the-job training in the installation and maintenance of our innovative weighing products.

The role involves extensive UK travel and nights away on average 2 per week. Although this could include international travel at times.

Core duties will include:



- Complete installations and maintenance of our World leading axle weighbridge.

- Complete installations and maintenance of our OnBoard weight indicators to all types of commercial vehicles.

- Managing your own time and van stock levels to ensure agreed schedules are met.

- Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experience:



- Clean driving license, able to drive long distances.

- Must be prepared to travel and commit to overnight stays on a regular basis and be prepared to work flexibly to ensure that we are able to deliver a class-leading service to our customers.

- Basic mechanical/electrical skills desirable but practical aptitude is essential.

- Experience of site Health & Safety is desirable.

- Would suit an energetic self-starter who enjoys working independently, but who is also a team player able to support colleagues when required.

- Good communicator who is able to deal with customers on a face to face basis and represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.

- A positive and receptive attitude.

Much of the work is done out of doors. Applicants should be prepared to work outside in all weathers for which protective clothing is provided.

Full on the job training will be given. Starting salary of 33,000, with the opportunity to achieve merit increases as you work towards fully qualified status, plus uniform, tools, PPE, expenses, company phone and vehicle.
