Cambs Compressor Engineering

is an established 32year old family run business who are looking for a customer focused Compressed Air Service/Installation Engineer to join our friendly service team in St Ives, Cambs.

This role is an additional engineering role to our team due to the expanding work load.

We provide services to a wide range of clients from dental surgeries to military sites and everything in between, this ensures no two days are ever the same as variety is the spice of life !

We support all our customers 24/7/365 days per year.

We are a compressed air company specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of compressed air systems and ancillary products.

Our engineering team typically come from the motor trade, engineering, facility management and military backgrounds, so don't worry if you don't know anything about air compressors and compressed air systems, we have a robust training package for the right candidate, all we need is customer orientated enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn with a level of engineering experience.

Role Purpose



To undertake the repair, servicing and installation of compressed air systems. To carry out fault finding as required. Provide customers with technical support and assistance. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the latest statutory regulations, manufacturers requirements and customers expectations. Communicate effectively with all. Strive to provide the highest possible standard of customer service. To apply good standards of engineering practice. To attend factory training and in-house training courses. To adhere to all relevant Health and Safety regulations at the workshop and on customer sites.

Key Skill Requirements



To have the Knack, See www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx6HojLBsnw Mechanical or Motor trade Engineering background of at least 3 years. Compressed Air experience desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Electrical training an advantage but not essential as training will be given. Mechanical or electrical qualifications are beneficial but we understand you may be qualified by experience. Confident use of mobile phones and applications. Basic confidence in the use of a tablets /IT documentation. Additional training will be given as required. Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and verbal. GCSE in maths and English or equivalent. Full UK driving license. Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota once trial period is over. Be tidy and smart in appearance and maintain high company image and standards. Good organisational skills. A good level of general fitness Excellent team player.

Salary will be reviewed after 6 months probation period. Call out allowances (as per rota) of 150.00 per week on call plus, plus any overtime. Overtime opportunities - day to day / weekend work. 29 days annual leave including bank holidays. 45hr working week,- paid lunch breaks (x5 9hr days) for the first 6 months.

We run a 4 day week (40hrs/week over 4days) for all staff after they have passed their 6 month probationary.
