Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, and breakdown/corrective maintenance for a range of Dosimetry and Radiation monitoring equipment. Training will be provided.

Key Duties & Responsibilities



Perform routine maintenance and calibration of a wide range of dosimetry and radiation detection instruments at customer sites across the UK and Ireland Produce accurate records of all work carried out and review records for instruments they are nominated to support including instrument data sheets Maintain project files which contain or reference supporting documentation for the instruments you are supporting To maintain and improve upon personal skills related to the position, through experience and training To provide a main point of contact to the customer for any technical issues and queries Act as an ambassador for the HTSL Group, promoting the products & services when liaising with customers and supporting the sales team with quotations. Provide a breakdown service for a wide range of instruments at customer sites across the UK and Ireland, sometimes within a 24hr response time. To carry out installation and commissioning of a wide range of instruments at customer sites across the UK and Ireland Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.

Key Skills and Competencies



Minimum of 3 years' experience in nuclear instrumentation and/or radiometric physics. Be self-motivated and exhibit a "can do" attitude Previous Mechanical/Electronics experience Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings Mechanical fitting skills Ability to read and understand electrical drawings Ability to wire to drawing Electronic repair at component level. Good diagnostic skills and logical fault finding ability Prepared to travel and work independently. Full UK driving licence A relevant technical qualification (HND, BTEC, or degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field) is preferred but not essential
