Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dependable

Mobile Service Engineer

to join our growing team, specializing in the

repair, servicing, and maintenance of pressure washers, scrubber dryers, and sweepers

. This field-based role requires a hands-on professional with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service on-site. Our customer base covers food industry, Petro-chemical, agricultural, manufacturing, education, government and haulage.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out mobile service, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of cleaning equipment, including: Pressure washers (petrol, diesel, electric) Scrubber dryers (walk-behind and ride-on) Sweepers (compact and industrial models) Conduct regular planned maintenance and emergency call-outs across customer sites. Inspect and test electrical and mechanical components such as motors, pumps, batteries, vacuum systems, control panels, and drive mechanisms. Accurately complete service documentation, job sheets, and parts requisitions. Provide clear and helpful technical advice to customers regarding equipment use, care, and maintenance. Ensure your service vehicle is fully stocked, clean, and well maintained. Follow and comply with all company ISO accredited procedures for quality, environmental and health & safety guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in a field-based service or repair role, ideally working with industrial cleaning equipment. Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Comfortable working with both low-voltage electrics and engine-powered machinery. Ability to diagnose faults using technical manuals and diagnostic tools including clamp and multi meters. Knowledge of Portable Appliance Testing. Good safe working knowledge of hand tools and battery power tools. Understanding of manual handling , abrasive wheels, etc. Full UK driving license, No more than 6 penalty points. Self-motivated and organized with excellent time management. Confident communicator with strong customer service skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar trade qualification. Familiarity with major Industrial cleaning equipment brands. Knowledge of battery-powered systems, chargers. Knowledge of small engines such as Honda and Yanmar.
