Main Purpose of Job:
Travel across the UK working to carry out safety critical repairs, modifications and maintenance to road/rail excavators and equipment used within the rail industry, on site, at customer's facilities or in the workshop as required.
Assist in the ongoing maintenance of new and innovative machinery as designed by Allan J Hargreaves plant engineers.
To carry out inspections, general fault finding and installation of safety and productivity systems, Loler inspections, product support, and site stand-by across the UK.
Required Qualifications:
NVQ 3 - in Engineering or Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance or equivalent or equivalent experience
Full Driver's license
Desirable Qualifications:
NVQ 2 - in Engineering or Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance or equivalent or equivalent experience
PTS Certification
Road/Rail maintenance competency certificate
Fork Lift truck driving
Principle Duties:
The repair and maintenance of plant and equipment, including modifications and upgrades of plant and machinery, used within the rail and construction industry
Manage workload in line with client commitments and targets set by the directors
Communicate on a technical level with key customers
Complete warranty works as required
Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and costs are kept within budget
Ensure you have the correct parts and information to complete tasks at the required standards and to the customer's requirements
Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information
Provide support in special projects/scheduled servicing of vehicles, plant and equipment
Increase knowledge across the company by promoting and sharing of best practices
Scheduled service of vehicles and plant and equipment
Examination and repair of faults on plant and equipment
Identification and repair of faults on plant and equipment
Diagnostics testing
Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information
Complete all necessary administration and documentation required
Conduct and complete duties to a high standard and maintain a professional approach to customers at all times. Observe and comply with correct Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and all Network Rail standards at all times
