Field Service Engineer / Assembly Fitter

to join their dynamic and experienced team.

This is a varied, hands-on role that blends mechanical assembly in the workshop with service, installation, and inspection work at customer sites across the UK and Ireland. You'll be working with high-performance, specialist machinery that's trusted by industry leaders.

Your Role at a Glance

Workshop-Based Assembly

Assemble mechanical systems and components using a range of manual and power tools. Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation with precision. Support safe and efficient movement of machinery parts through production. Contribute to process improvements in manufacturing and assembly.

Field Service Work

Conduct on-site installations, servicing, inspections, and commissioning of machinery. Deliver excellent customer service with a professional and knowledgeable approach. Travel using a fully equipped company-provided service van.

What We're Looking For

Background in mechanical fitting, service engineering, or similar hands-on roles. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and work from engineering drawings. Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required.

A reliable, professional presence both in the workshop and on customer sites. Excellent time management and communication skills. A strong commitment to health and safety standards. Willingness to work additional hours as needed (overtime paid at enhanced rates).

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday:

7:30 am - 5:30 pm (38 hours per week)

Overtime:

Available and paid at enhanced rates
