Field Service Technician

Field Services and Project Lead

Responsible for



Work within the scheduled rota for reactive maintenance.

Carry out on-site repairs to Digital Screens safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Working Time



8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours cover required for scheduled maintenance.

The role is required to service and maintain Birmingham and surrounding areas Digital Signage Equipment.

Our offices are located in Kent. The job holder will need to be able to get to the office for occasional meetings.

Key Responsibilities



Tasks & Activities



Proactive and reactive maintenance of Digital Signage (standalone units, Video Walls and LED displays both indoor and outdoor).

Site Management according to UniLED's policies.

Health & Safety Site Management of yourself and other on-site.

Ensure good housekeeping on-site and within the Company van.

Manage tools and spares within company vehicles.

Safe and careful maintenance of working methods.

Good understanding of networks as well as computer skills.

Safe operation of access equipment/ tools.

Build relationships with the technical service team to ensure strong internal communication.

Activating and managing Work Permits, Security Passes, and conforming to on-site requirements.

Working on your own as a lone worker.

Reporting issues and submitting photographs to the Line Manager.

Adhering to Companies H&S policies.

Driving safely and legally including complying with driving codes at all times.

Keeping the vehicle clean and tidy and reporting any issues immediately.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour



Knowledge and Experience



Out of home advertising industry experience (e.g. ex bill poster).

Experience working within the Telecommunication industry.

Comfortable working at heights and on ladders and podiums.

Comfortable working with electrics.

Fluent English speaker.

Full driving license.

Enjoys driving, potentially long distances.

Experience and working knowledge of display / AV and computer hardware/software.

Basic knowledge of electrical installations.

Experience in diagnosing and resolving faults as they are encountered but understanding when to ask others for assistance.

IPAF (International Powered Access Federation).
