As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our service team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation of floor cleaning machines across our customers' sites. This role also includes customer training, new-site equipment setups, and occasional demonstrations of equipment for prospective clients.

You will work closely with our Helpdesk team, who will schedule your daily jobs. Once on site, you will diagnose faults, determine required parts, carry out repairs or servicing, and complete the relevant job documentation accurately.

This role includes installation of the

Clean Zero system

, which requires plumbing-in work as part of the setup.

The ideal applicant will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities

Attend customer sites as scheduled by the Helpdesk team. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on floor cleaning machines. Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to a high standard. Identify required parts and report findings through job sheets. Install and set up cleaning equipment at new customer sites. Conduct customer training on correct operation and maintenance of equipment. Perform demonstrations of cleaning machinery and systems for potential clients. Install the Clean Zero system, including necessary plumbing work. Maintain van stock levels and ensure equipment and parts are well organised. Provide excellent customer service and represent Craftex professionally at all times. Follow company policies regarding health, safety, and PPE usage.

Qualifications

Essential:

Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. Experience in field service, maintenance, or a related technical role (desirable but not essential - training provided). Ability to diagnose faults and work independently. Confidence in customer-facing situations. A valid UK driving licence. Basic toolkit (industry-specific tools provided).

Desirable:

Experience in servicing or repairing cleaning equipment or similar machinery. Plumbing experience (advantageous for Clean Zero installations).

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
