Location: Glasgow, Scotland

The Field Service Technician I will be responsible for supporting the Security Imaging System Business for SureScan Corp. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, service, and maintain customer sites. Troubleshoots, services, installs (deploys) and repairs Computed Tomography (CT) equipment at SureScan Corp. designated sites. Maintains field service log and filing system to properly initiate, organize and maintain all field service and job files until work is completed. Demonstrates initiative and dedication through positive use of downtime and an overall willingness and eagerness to consistently exceed SureScan Corp and company requirements. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction; Conducts follow up calls with the customer to ensure satisfaction of work.

Installs, repairs, and maintains equipment in the field.

Demonstrates good electronic repair troubleshooting methodology and maintains at least an intermediate technical level of product knowledge.

Ability to read and follow electrical/mechanical schematics to assist in isolating fault to root cause component/assembly.

Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis as required by SureScan Corp and customer contract.

Order, install, and return parts and manages repair parts cycle time.

Reviews all logs for open issues and prepares formal reports as necessary.

Participates in Service Sales opportunities and assists with promoting and implementing revenue programs as needed.

Assesses product/equipment performance based on field support data; recommends modifications or improvements.

Seeks to provide technical support to other SureScan Corp and third-party service professionals as required.

May participate in site surveys, pilot program service activities, attend meetings, champion special projects, and prepare exclusive reports.

Maintains clear and concise business communication proficiency, both oral and written.

Establishes and maintains a close relationship with senior level FSS's and Product Managers to support the needs of SureScan Corp.

Remains aware of current technical trends.

Exercises every available measure to control and minimize costs.

Travel and work hours outside of Monday-Friday are required.

Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.

Identify and resolve of customer issues, provide the customer with the appropriate communication, and involve appropriate Service and Sales Personnel as required.

Operate under required knowledge of regulatory requirement (Federal and State Radiation performance standards, registration, Quality Systems Regulations, EPA regulations and OSHA regulations.

May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or Military Training (electrical, mechanical, electronics.)

Minimum of two years-experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Possesses basic technical knowledge of X-Ray technologies.

TRAVEL:

Must be able to maintain a Passport. Must be willing & able to travel at short notice Travel to customer sites is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in what is typically considered off-site locations, wherever SureScan Corp designates. Service will typically be rendered at airports. This role routinely uses computers and electrical and mechanical tools.

While performing some duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 pounds.

Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability; to multitask several projects at once.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.

Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual.

Possess excellent telephone skills.

Ability to lift item up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs.

Must be able to move/ manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs. with the assistance of carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks or other devices as defined in the manuals and Technical Advisory documentation.

Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.

Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.

WORK LOCATION

In Person (Glasgow Airport, Scotland)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 32,000.00-40,000.00 per year

Day shift Monday to Friday Night shift Overtime Weekend availability
