Field Service/Workshop Technician

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team, your role would involve work on vehicles where they need to be maintained or repaired. Your responsibilities would include diagnostic review, repair and replacement of parts as well as replacement and installation of our equipment.

Job description:



Service and repair of machines supplied or hired out by Moorend Ltd. Mainly tracked loaders used for a range of applications. Covering the UK on Site repairs and service. Occasional nights out. General workshop tasks as required. Service and repairs in the workshop.

Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on various equipment at client locations. Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of equipment. Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and equipment status. Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service.

Requirements:



Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A valid UK driving licence is essential for travel to client sites. Familiarity with electrical systems is an advantage but not mandatory. Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certification as required. Towing experience an advantage
May suit somebody with Motor vehicle / Commercial / Agricultural background.

Basic understanding of vehicle diagnostics, using diagnostic software.

Good knowledge of Engines, hydraulics, 12v and Can Bus electrical systems.

The ability to react quickly to breakdowns/ callouts.

A reasonable amount of flexibility (some early mornings and late evenings will be required).

A good understanding of onsite health and safety.

Work well in a small team as well as alone.

Can-do attitude.

Hours:



Full time 45 hrs 8am-5:30pm + Overtime.
