Service Technician - Grain Drying, Storage & Processing Systems

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our growing Aftersales Team. You'll carry out maintenance, repair, and fault-finding on grain drying, storage, and processing systems across Scotland and Northern England. Projects are varied and hands-on, requiring flexibility, practical problem-solving, and strong communication with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Service and preventative maintenance of grain drying and storage plants. Diagnose and repair faults in electrical (3-phase), mechanical, and combustion (oil & LPG burner) systems. Provide breakdown response and support to customers. Accurately record service work using simPRO ERP system. Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations.

Essential Skills:

Experience in servicing/repair of machinery or process equipment. Strong electrical knowledge (3-phase, control panels, motors, sensors). Mechanical knowledge (conveyors, gearboxes, bearings). Combustion system knowledge (oil & LPG burners). IT literacy for reporting and documentation. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/stay away.

Desirable:

Grain drying, storage, or processing equipment experience. Agricultural knowledge. IPAF or telehandler certifications. ERP/job system experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Experience:

Mechanical assembly: 5 years (preferred) agricultural industry: 5 years (preferred)
