Electrical or electronics background preferred but not necessary
Established as a market leader for over 40 years, providing maintenance, repair and installation services for specialist health and medical equipment to sites across the UK.
Initially, you will be training and working in the Manchester workshop in Swinton and will eventually be covering from Manchester to Scotland and down to Warwickshire, plus occasionally covering other parts of the UK as needed.
Once on the road, you will be required to do basic fault finding and this would typically involve circuit board and printer exchanges, setting up a network connection, routine service and maintenance of equipment calibration and PAT testing, whilst also installing machines.
This role would suit an individual with an electrical or electronic background who is looking for the chance to train as a Field Service Technician with an industry-leading company.
Are you the right person for the job?
Strong 'hands on skills'
Ideally, needs to be capable of lifting and moving medium to heavy equipment/machinery
Ideally some IT experience with networking/integration but not essential
Flexible and willing to learn with a 'can-do' attitude
Lives in or around the Salford/Manchester area and would be happy to travel distances with required regular overnight stays and overtime.
Full UK driving licence required
Age 25+ for Insurance purposes
References and DBS check required
What will your role look like?
First period will be training and repairing, painting, cleaning machines etc in the Swinton/Salford Workshop
Maintenance, service & installation of equipment
Early starts and late finishes are often required to suit the Business need, when out on the road (with an attitude of the work must be completed)
Full training provided
Regular overnight stays (usually up to 3 days per week)
