Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a service technician to join a small, friendly company who specialise in the manufacture and supply of industrial water quality instrumentation.

The ideal candidate will be located around the Derby/Nottingham area. The current territory (north of Birmingham) includes clients in the Midlands, NE and NW of England.

Whilst our head office is in Borough Green Kent, our service office is located on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at various client locations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of equipment as required. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues efficiently to minimise downtime for clients. Provide training and support to clients on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all tasks in the field.

Requirements

Well organised - in regards of both time and paperwork. Efficient time management. Conscientious - good work ethic. Good communications skills - calm and personable approach with customers & colleagues. Flexible approach to working - early mornings, late evenings and over-night stays may be required on occasions. Some electrical/mechanical experience would be beneficial, although full product training (on-site and office based) in all aspects of operational, service repair and application of the instrumentation, will be provided to the successful candidate. A full driving licence is a requirement.

Other Information:

Company vehicle for private use. Work laptop and mobile phone supplied. All required tools will be provided. Profit related bonus (pro-rata, paid annually). 39.5 Hr working week (full time). Paid overtime. Contributory pension scheme after 3 months.
