M Group Telecom
At M Group Telecom, we're enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you'll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing?
This role is for someone who understands how to support teams working outdoors. The work will involve checking that jobs are done safely and correctly. It will also involve helping teams to stay on track and solve problems when they come up.
The person in this role will spend most of their time outside. They will visit different sites across the Teesside area. They will look at the work being done and speak with the people doing it. They will also speak with managers and planners to make sure everything is going as it should.
There will be times when things do not go to plan. The person in this role will need to stay calm and help others to do the same. They will need to notice when something is not right and take steps to fix it. They will also need to keep good records and share updates with others.
This role will suit someone who has worked in telecoms or utilities before. It will suit someone who knows how to work with teams and who can spot risks before they become problems. It will also suit someone who is happy to work outside in all weather.
What you'll bring?
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current and comprehensive NRSWA Supervisor Street Works qualification, encompassing Units 10 through 16, as a baseline requirement for overseeing works in the public highway. In addition, accreditation under the Smart Awards framework-specifically the Network Operative Passport Scheme (NOPS)-is essential, reflecting the technical and safety competencies expected in this role. Possession of Passive Infrastructure Access (PIA) certification is considered advantageous, particularly for candidates with experience in Openreach environments.
Familiarity with Openreach infrastructure, including Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial (HFC) networks, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a robust understanding of telecommunications engineering, with particular emphasis on underground civil engineering and cable installation methodologies.
